Rainbow pullover

Uncategorized, other clothing, spinning No Comments

I have finally got round to getting photos of my rainbow pullover.   I used the Top down raglan sweater generator pattern and the BFL  I spun and dyed with kool-aid.  For the pattern I used multiples of k8, p4.

Handspun cardigan

I have been knitting a cardigan for Dylan using some BFL that I dyed with Kool-aid. I am really pleased with it although I think I will have to make the sleeves a bit longer or it won’t fit him for long.

Cabled cardigan

other clothing No Comments

I have finally finished my cabled cardigan.  I used the cables off the Central Park Hoodie but used the Top down raglan pullover generator for the size.

The yarn is some very cheap acrylic with 20% wool which cost £5 for 800 grammes.

I will probably wear this cardigan a lot around the house as it fits well and cost little.

Yellow toddler shorts

other clothing No Comments

Here are the toddler shorts I made for Dylan.  This is the third pair and probably the last.  If I knit any more I will probably jinx the Summer. ;)

I used the Pimp my Longies pattern again… I love that pattern.   This time I used Lidl Colorado cotton yarn.  I thought it might have been a bit girly but I think it looks okay.  :)

Cotton toddler shorts

I made Dylan a pair of toddler shorts out of Wondersoft pearl double knitting yarn.  I used the Pimp my Longies pattern.  I did the 18 months size although Dylan is nearly 3.

I have started another pair for him using some cotton I got from Lidls.

I made Dylan a pair of shorts using bits of left over cotton from other projects.  I used the Pimp my longies pattern and made the 18 months size.      It’s a really lovely pattern to follow.  I am definitely going to make another pair.

Top down toddler cardigan

other clothing 1 Comment

I made Dylan a cardigan out of Patons UK sorbet.  I used the Top down Raglan sweater generator to get the sizing but then added a few cables from the Central Park Hoodie.

The Patons sorbet was probably not the best choice for cables but I wanted to get it used up.

This cardigan was a practice run for when I do my central park hoodie which I want to try to do top down.  I am dreading attempting it as I know I will end up being unsuccessful and having to do it in pieces.

Fugly pullover

Well it isn’t going to win any beauty contests but it’s warm and comfy and only for wearing around the house.

It’s so long it’s nearly down to my knees.

I used king cole aero frogged from my boring cardigan and used the top down raglan sweater generator pattern.

Cotton Cardigan

I have made myself a cotton cardigan using the easy top down raglan pattern.

I used Patons UK Washed Haze Aran and did the third size.

I wasn’t sure if I would like the cardigan but  it’s great.  It’s quite heavy though so I imagine it will take ages to dry.
