I have finished felting the bag and it’s almost dry. I now have to find a nice button or something similar for the front flap.

I went to Blacks yesterday to buy a new set of 2.5mm dpns as I was sick of getting second sock syndrome. I have cast on a pair of socks for DH and am almost on turning the heel. It’s much better doing a few rows on one sock then the same on the other plus it’s easier to make sure both socks are matched up at the decreases etc.
I have finished knitting the Carie Lynn bag. I absolutely loved knitting it but now it’s time for the felting. I am so terrified I will ruin the bag. Here are some pics of the finished bag.
I have finally started the Carie Lynn Bag. I have been putting it off for ages as I am scared I will balls it up. It’s hard work using such big needles.

I have also just ordered some sock yarn from get knitted. Last time I ordered off them they were really fast and organised plus I got a free pen and lollypop.
I have finished knitting my string bag. It is very big so will hold loads of shopping. I have fitted it onto the handles of the pushchair.

It only cost me £2.50 to knit as I found 250 grammes of Jaeger Safari in the bargain bin at The Sheep Shop, St Annes.
I tested it out yesterday.

I have finished the booga bag. I wasn’t impressed with the colours but now it’s put together I quite like it. I like the length of the straps. I did 8 foot instead of the 6 that the pattern recommends. I would like to make another of these but using noro instead as I think the bag looks better in strong colours.

I am now knitting more socks for DH. I have called them camouflage socks because of the colours in the yarn.

I finished the i cord for the booga bag last night.

Today I attempted felting it. I tried to do it by hand first but it didn’t do anything so used the machine. I used 2 cushion covers with zips on them and put the i cord in one and the bag in the other. I put the bathmat in with them for some agitation. I first tried a 60 degree wash but it didn’t seem to be doing anything so changed to a 90 degree.
It was felted within 15 minutes. I am not happy with the i cord as it doesn’t look nice and fat like some of them I have seen on Ravelry. The colours of the bag aren’t very nice either but it’s not too bad for a first attempt. I have put a cereal packet inside it to mould it into shape. I am not sure how long it will take to dry but I would imagine at least a couple of days. DH won’t be amused when he comes to have his breakfast as it’s his cereal is inside it.

I have started work on a Booga bag. I am using Freedom Spirit by Twilleys of Stamford. This is really a test run for felting as I have never done any before. I don’t know how I will go on using a front loading washing machine. I am not sure if I will be able to open the door every few minutes to check how it’s progressing.
Here are some pictures of where I am up to so far. I have made the bag 17 stitches bigger in length and am going to make it slightly taller as well.
I am not sure how it will felt as I found out I should have used the wool double stranded.
