I made DH a heart for Valentine’s day using the heart pattern from knitty.
I told him I was making him a willie warmer to stop him looking at what I was knitting. I couldn’t resist giving it to him straight away though as I couldn’t wait. He was really pleased with it and said it was far better than a willie warmer.
I used acrylic DK but used the 2.5mm needles the pattern called for and it turned out fine.

I made Dylan a little goldfish using this pattern. I used some cheap DK acrylic that has been lurking in my stash for ages. What a cute little pattern and ideal as it has no seaming.
I am not sure if there is a mistake on the pattern or I just read it wrong but after the tail when it says:
“K1, increase 1, knit to within 1 stitch of the marker, increase 1, K1, move marker, K1, increase 1, knit to within 1 stitch of the marker, increase 1, K1″
I thought it should say:
“K1, increase 1, knit to within 1 stitch of the marker, increase 1, K1, move marker, K1, increase 1, knit to last but 1 stitch, increase 1, K1 and repeat for the other side of the round.”
I made crochet eyes for safety reasons. I simply crocheted a round of single crochet in white, made a chain of 5 stitches in black and joined then pulled up tightly. I then sewed the black into the center of the white.
Dylan loves this fish and I am going to make more of them. They would look great as a big mobile hanging from the ceiling.

I have finished my Buttony sweater but am still waiting on Blacks to order in 2 more buttons which I need to finish it off.

I made Dylan a Dodecahedron using the Celestine Sox pattern. It was supposed to be for the cat but that was before I realised how big it would turn out. I used some Schachenmayr nomotta Regia Color 4-ply that I had left over from my broad street mittens. I had to do a couple of points using another sock yarn as there was not quite enough.
I love how this turned out and so does Dylan although my picking up stitches left much to be desired. I blame it on being left handed.
